For the expertise, the quality and the truly authentic look that your home deserves.
using the Southern Longleaf Heart Pine because of its strength and durability, the same can be said of the Elm and Ash. Each has a unique look once sawn into flooring planks.
The Antique Elm has a softer, but more dramatic grain structure with hints of reddish undertones and more character in the way of knots and color variation. This is a special, unique wood that will definitely be a conversation piece in any room!
The Antique Ash is unique from a recycled wood standpoint in that it has very little of the rustic character typical of most antique wood. The color tones have achieved their rich golden brown patina, but the wood is fairly clear of knots, nail holes checks and saw kerf marks- this character is evident in only a few special boards to remind you of its former life as a supporting beam in structure for 150 or more years! Because of the tremendous strength of Ash, this wood was favored for use in the construction of buildings in Canada. In New England, this wood was also used to craft bows, baseball bats, baskets and ax handles because of the unique combination of strength and pliability.
Our Antique Eastern White Pine is sourced primarily from barns along the Ohio River Valley and mid-Atlantic. Sawn exclusively from beams that supported these structures, the widths and lengths surpass any in the industry. Antique Eastern White Pine is a desirable option to our milled barnwood in that you will still find the rich pumpkin colored heart wood that gave it its nickname "Pumpkin Pine", but it is not quite as rustic, making it a perfect choice for a "French Country", "Traditional" or "Waterfront Living" Design style.
Antique Ash flooring is available from 4" to 9" wide, 2' to 12' lengths, 1/2", 5/8" or 3/4" (our preferred thickness is 3/4") thick.
Antique Eastern White Pine flooring is available from 5" to 10" wide, 2' to 12' lengths, 1/2", 5/8" or 3/4" (our preferred thickness is 3/4") thick.
Antique Elm flooring is available from 4" to 9" wide, 2' to 12' lengths, 1/2", 5/8" or 3/4" (our preferred thickness is 3/4") thick.
Because the Antique Ash has much less rustic character and the majority of the boards are clear, this is a perfect option for a formal design style that still allows you to use recycled wood
