As we've learned so far this week when customers are designing a new kitchen they want value and useful design.  For the rest of the week we are going to begin addressing specific design features that customers want most in 2013. 

Today we will consider two key features of a kitchen - the appliances you select and the focal points you can create - often with those appliances.

In the first installment in our series "What Cooking in Kitchen Trends for 2013"  we talked about the importance of value when designing your new kitchen, and how you don't get the best value from the least expensive product but rather from a product that delivers long term satisfaction and performance. 

Today we are going to look at one of the bets ways to achieve that value with "useful design".  Anyone can design a kitchen with lots of "bells and whistles" but what if they aren't the "bells and whistles" "you and your family need or designed in a space that suits your particular needs.

Today we will look at three "useful design" aspects that can help you create a kitchen for you, family and friends to enjoy.

What’s Cooking in Kitchen Trends for 2013 - Value

The kitchen continues to take center stage in our lives.  The kitchen is the place for morning coffee and cereal, evening meals, homework, family meetings and parties with friends and family.  It’s typically the last room we visit when leaving the house and the first room we enter when we return home.  Many people feel that 90% of their time at home is spent in the kitchen.  With this high level of importance in our daily lives it is no wonder that people want a great kitchen. 

Throughout the week we will look at 9 trends that customers are looking for in new kitchen in 2013.
