We get compliments all the time about the floor. People love it and can’t get over the fact that I did it myself. It’s funny, some people just go on and on about it. We’re very pleased.”

For this customer, Carlisle proved to “rock” and “rule”

We haven’t gotten photos of this project yet, but we wanted to share this note from a customer in New Jersey, who recently took delivery of the Carlisle Eastern White Pine floor that they had ordered. We, of course, love getting letters like this. This one was so over-the-top, we had to share it right away! The customers sent this note along to Gary Ryer, one of our design and sales consultants based in our Stoddard offices. They wrote:

Hi Gary,

We just had to write you to let you know that the wide plank flooring arrived today at 3.  I don’t know what to say next….They are spectacularly beautiful, gorgeous, to die for, awesome, fantastic, terrific and every other happy descriptive word you can think of!!!  Even in their raw state, they take your breath away!!!  Needless to say, we can’t wait for installation day!  (We hit a small snag with countertop delivery but all will go smoothly once that all falls into place.)

We were also shocked at the 15’ planks!  We had to change to a larger room to let the wood acclimate!  That was a happy change, though!!!  You know how to take good care of your clients!

Gary, thank you for EVERYTHING, from beginning to end!  You and Carlisle rock, rule and are undoubtedly #1!!!!  I will follow up when the floors get installed, which we can’t wait for!!!

It’s been a sincere pleasure doing business with you!

Best regards,

Joanne & Bill Philpot

Decorati Access takes positive note of Carlisle’s wood flooring offerings

We were delighted to see that Decorati Access Interior Design Magazine recently made mention of Carlisle Wide Plank Flooring in a July 11 article about wood floorings for the kitchen.

If the kitchen is the heart of the home, wood flooring must be the soul!, writes author Susan Serra.  We couldn’t agree more! She wrote:

“Carlisle Flooring is a staple for many design professionals and for good reason. Wide planks and a great variety of wood species make Carlisle a natural for restoration projects. The number of flooring options is dizzying, but that also means that most likely, the nuance in your flooring that you are looking for may well be found within Carlisle’s product line. My clients have always been pleased with their Carlisle floors.”

If you’re heading toward Carlisle headquarters this summer, “shake’” it up a

Carlisle has been working for 35 years on projects to restore and reproduce antique wood floors. Several of these exciting projects have been in buildings that are on the list of National Historic Landmarks.  Whenever we take on such a project, we work with the client to make sure we understand the building’s history, its location, the era in which it was built, the style of the floor and the original craftspeople involved.  One such Historic Landmark project we worked on is virtually in our own backyard here at Carlisle headquarters in Stoddard, New Hampshire. Canterbury Shaker Village shown here in our e-newsletter.  Canterbury Shaker Village is just about an hour’s drive from us and, now that summer has arrived, we recommend to folks passing through New Hampshire. The restaurant  on this site is topnotch, and the history of the Shaker clan that founded this community is endlessly fascinating. Established here in 1792 and operating as a viable community for 200 years, the last member of the Shaker sect (they were celebate, so the sect has died out) died in 1992. The property has been a museum ever since. For this one, we used Heart Pine, 4 to 8” widths and we think it does justice to 200-plus years of history!
