The current issue of Fabulous Floors features a gorgeous photo of a great room in a log home, complete with a Carlisle Cherry floor, on its cover. Scroll down to page 18 for a two-page spread on Carlisle, with photos and a story that offers a great introduction to the company and the wood floors we make:

“The story begins nearly a half century ago when founder Dale Carlisle, builder of classic homes (those old New England centerchimney colonials, saltboxes and traditional capes), found a common thread among America’s early homes. Wide plank wood floors! Wanting them for the homes he built and restored, Dale wanted to recreate the authentic wide plank floors of our heritage.”

Keep reading to learn more about Carlisle’s hardwood, pine, and antique reclaimed floors – and about Carlisle’s longtime commitment to sustainability.

The magazine’s editor, Deborah Ann Funk, has some nice words about Carlisle, too, in her column to readers on page 2. “With your values, experiences, design tastes and creative touch, you create the home. But that’s so much easier when the professionals you work with have the same values you do — and value your home as much as they do their own. Take Carlisle Wide Plank Floors, a 42-year-old family-owned company. Carlisle’s promise? ‘One board at a time, one project at a time, one customer at a time.’ Isn’t that the way service and products should be? Take a look at the Carlisle story on Pages 18 and 19. I think you’ll be impressed,” she writes.
