In Pine or Hardwood Floors, Wide Planks Are Perfect For Hallways

Hallways tend to be narrower spaces, so it is common misconception that you have to use narrower boards, but, just the opposite is true.  When you use a wide plank floor, you minimize the seams in the floor, this makes the space seem larger, because the space will look less busy.

When you install a wood floor in your hallway it is important to think about the layout, typically you want to install the boards running down the length of the hallway.  This is especially nice with Carlisle floors since they are made in much longer lengths, some styles up to 12-14′ long.
