Wide plank floors add drama, distinction in urban setting

Sure, wide plank wood floors are a great match in a rural home, be it an antique or a contemporary design. But they’re a perfect accent in an urban setting as well. Here are several photographs of a really spectacular project we completed with Robin Reigi Inc. in New York City. Robin Reigi specializes in sourcing, development, and marketing of innovative architectural materials, artisans and fabricators — we’re delighted to have the company among our preferred partners.

This dramatic floor, in an exclusive NYC home, is 3,800 square feet of walnut with clear pre-finishing, all in 7-inch face widths. It really adds richness and depth to the glass-and-angles city feel of the place.
