Patterned Floors

Parquet flooring first came about in the early 1600s, originating in European castles, and spawned many classic patterns, including some stunning three-dimensional designs. Cutting and installation were very labor intensive and for centuries only the most affluent could afford parquet floors.

Today, the elegant look of parquet is being used in some of the finest new homes in the country. Carlisle not only offers parquet in a variety of our high-quality woods and classic patterns, we will work with you to create your own unique patterns that can be incorporated into your Carlisle floor in various ways. Since we provide herringbone and chevron in larger than normal dimensions, much like our wide plank floors, your eye will be drawn not to the busy seams, but to the rich wood within.
