Prefinished flooring has been out there for a long time, but we waited until we could be sure of getting it right.  We still make each floor one at a time.  The floor has the same lustrous finish that Carlisle finishes have been famous for.  They are just as versatile in wood style, design, and color and best of all they are easy to maintain and touch up over the years.

Myths and Misconceptions

Prefinished floors make every project that much easier to complete because there is no finishing on site.  This makes them very appealing.  They are also seen a low cost alternative in the flooring market which some people are seeking.  But some associate prefinished with a cheap looking floor.  Others have had the unfortunate experience of not being able to touch up a prefinished floor or refinish them so they feel like the floors do not last as long. 

Here at Carlisle we put all those concerns to rest, and allow you to experience the most convenient and efficient installation possible in the industry!  Our Unique Pre-Finish process was designed to bring out the beauty of the wood, not give it a plastic look.  Our floors can be cleaned and touched up with ease over the years!

The Carlisle Advantage

· CUSTOMIZATION- Each floor is finished per order so choose the finish you want - don’t be limited to line of colors.  We have a variety of stains to choose from (hyperlink to stains & finishes) or we can create a custom color if you don’t see what you want!

· DESIGN OPTIONS– All of our Pine, Hardwood and Hand-Distressed floors can be prefinished

· FINISH QUALITY– Carlisle used a high quality acrylic urethane to pre-finish the floors.  This makes it durable, yet easy to touch up.  We do not use Aluminum Oxide to pre-finish our floors, in fact we discourage customers from this type of finish because they cannot be refinished or touched up over the years.

· BACK-SEALING– All Carlisle pre-finished floors are back-sealed for enhanced stability, and the tongue and groove will be finished as well, particularly important if you have chosen to have your floors stained.

· STAIN APPLICATION– If you have selected a floor that will be stained, we will not only stain the face of the boards but also the tongue and groove, a huge advantage especially with darker colored stains.  Our stain also doesn’t hide the grain of the wood but brings out the beauty of it.

· EASE OF MAINTENANCE– You can touch up the floors without sanding with our Dust-Free Recoat Kit!  One of the only Pre-finished floors on the market than can be refinished!

· DIMENSIONS– Our floors can be pre-finished up to 11” wide, and we still maintain the long lengths!  The industry average is 5” wide x 3’ long, so Carlisle prefinished floors dramatically improve the look of your room!

· CHARACTER– Our floors maintain as much or as little character as you want so you can choose the grade you want for the look you want to create.

· ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY– Our finishes have no measureable VOC’s, there is no off-gassing on site, and there are special anti-microbial additives to inhibit unhealthy airborne microbes.

· SHEEN LEVEL– Our most popular sheen is the Satin sheen, but you can customize the sheen for the desired look.
