FSC Antique Reclaimed Wood Floors
Antique wood is a relative newcomer to the flooring market. Only recently have home builders and renovators come to fully appreciate its historic merit and unique beauty. This has meant that entire industries have sprung up in order to meet the growing demand for reclaimed building materials , especially antique wood.
But it’s important to realize that not all antique wood is procured, processed and resold in the same manner. Carlisle has worked to achieve two prestigious Forest Stewardship Council awards: 100% Antique Reclaimed Certification and Chain Of Custody Certification. This means that every single Carlisle board is a genuine antique and has been in our care from the dismantling process to the moment it is resold. As such, it qualifies for LEED credits.
By embracing these and other strict guidelines, Carlisle has become the most requested supplier of antique wood in North America. When you walk on a Carlisle FSC Antique Reclaimed floor, you can almost feel the spirit of the past resonate beneath your feet. It is a rich, warm comfort that only time, and more time, can create.
Note: Because of its aged character and imperfections, our FSC Antique Reclaimed wood cannot be offered as engineered flooring.
