Birch is a unique floor prized for an intriguing combination of color tones, and varying grain patterns with subtle swirls to flame like character that seems to dance across the board. Carlisle Birch contains more warm, amber heartwood in every board, because it is sawn from only mature timbers grown in northern New England.  This gives the floor its signature color and character.
