Wide plank oak floors bring beauty and charm to any room.
Oak floors from Carlisle Wide Plank Floors can transform any room. Wider boards in longer lengths dramatically reduce the number of seams in a room. The result is a more elegant, less busy look, where the solid hardwood floors become an integral architectural detail. With a clean and open appearance, Carlisle oak floors help any room large or small seem more spacious. Wider boards reveal more history of the wood, allowing you to see as much as 200 years of growth in a single plank, adding more character and personality to your space.
Based in Stoddard, New Hampshire, Carlisle Wide Plank Floors is one of the nation's premier providers of wide plank oak floors. With craftsmen who craft each plank by hand and design and installation specialists who help guide you through each step in the process, Carlisle offers both truly unique oak floors and the personal service that ensures you will love the floor you walk on.
Carlisle delivers new floors in red or white oak.
Carlisle new floors are made from Red or White Oak. White Oak is a resilient wood with nutty brown hues and dense fiber that makes for a durable floor that can be finished to a variety of looks: casual, contemporary or formal. Red Oak, often considered a "common" flooring material, can be a highly striking floor in the hands of Carlisle craftsmen. Carlisle Red Oak floors are fashioned from timbers harvested only in the Northeast, where trees grow more slowly and develop a tighter grain that allows for wider and longer boards.
Carlisle also produces reclaimed oak floors. Reclaimed wood flooring is made from timbers salvaged from old buildings in the northern part of the U.S., where the wood is best preserved. These antique floor products have a rustic, Old World look and preserve many of the imperfections and the age-worn appearance of the original wood.
Floors created from sustainable oak forests.
Carlisle's strong commitment to environmental sustainability means that oak boards are milled only from trees harvested by a small group of growers who uphold the highest standards of sustainability. Carlisle's growers select only the most mature trees, the ones which are ready to be removed from the forest to allow younger timbers to grow and mature. Carlisle's strict standards mean that only one tree in every five acres on average is harvested for Carlisle's oak floors.
