Ronald McDonald House: Oak Lawn, Illinois
More recently, we donated our FSC Antique Reclaimed Oak to help floor the new 24,000-square-foot Ronald McDonald House in the Chicago suburb of Oak Lawn. The house opened on December 15, 2008, and features 16 bedrooms, including four extended-stay suites. A portion of the floor received a special surface treatment from the Carlisle Custom Shop. This Ronald McDonald House provides a warm and welcoming environment for children, their families and loved ones.

Noah’s Ark Missionary Baptist Church: New Orleans, Louisiana
In the spring of 2008 we partnered with Deltec Homes of Asheville, North Carolina — and other builders and suppliers from all over the U.S. — to help build a house and a church in New Orleans for the benefit of Hurricane Katrina victims. The effort was featured on the popular TV show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. We donated 2,500 square feet of our sustainably harvested Longleaf Heart Pine, which, ironically, was used to create a beautiful cathedral ceiling for the new church.
