Can parquet flooring be made with engineered hardwood?
Engineered hardwood is an excellent option for parquet flooring, and Carlisle offers two collections – the Studio Herringbone Collection and the Manhattan Herringbone Collection – that feature engineered White Oak in a Herringbone pattern. These floors are ideal for urban spaces such as industrial flats or penthouse lofts, as well as for installation over concrete slab, radiant heat or in any high moisture area.

Herringbone parquet flooring uses a design where each board adjoins another at a right angle, creating a sense of zigzagging movement across the floor. Parquet flooring with Herringbone is a highly sought-after for its great visual interest.
Chevron parquet flooring also arranges boards at angles to one another, but the ends of each board are cut so that two boards can form a V shape. By adjusting the angle of the cut, we can create shallower or more acute angles in the layout, depending on the preference of the homeowner. Chevron also has a great deal of movement in the design, but a slightly cleaner look in the appearance of the seams.
Versailles parquet flooring is inspired by the floors in the Palace of Versailles and arranges the floor in large squares. Within each square, shorter floorboards are laid out at an angle and in an interlocking pattern that gives the layout a woven appearance.
