More ways to customize your Carlisle floor
Choosing a Chevron pattern is just the first of many options you’ll have at Carlisle for making your floor a one-of-a-kind expression of your own sense of style and taste.
While standard White Oak is an excellent option for Chevron floor, we also offer Rift & Quartersawn White Oak options. The boards in these floors are cut with a special technique that produces long, straight vertical lines running the length of the plank for a beautiful and more formal aesthetic. You can also consider Chevron floors made with Red Oak. Red Oak floor colors offer deep salmon tones in the heartwood.
We offer a virtually unlimited assortment of finish and color possibilities to meet your design needs, and our Carlisle Custom Color match system makes it easy to select an exact shade of stain based on any item that you bring to us.
Carlisle White Oak Chevron flooring can be made with solid or engineered floorboards. A solid plank is cut from a single piece of oak, while an engineered floorboard uses a thick Oak veneer that’s adhered to multiple layers of backing material to produce a floorboard that’s more resistant to moisture, humidity and temperature changes.
Our proprietary grading system lets you choose from planks that feature more character – things like knots, mineral streaks, and color variation – or floorboards that have more consistency and a more formal appearance.
Adding texture helps to give a new floor the character and appearance of an antique surface that has been worn down by time and foot traffic.
