Oak Hardwood Floor

A wide plank oak hardwood floor transforms any space.

There’s something extraordinary about an oak hardwood floor from Carlisle Wide Plank Floors. Known for the remarkable width and length of our floor boards, a Carlisle oak hardwood floor dramatically reduces the number of seams in a floor – by as much as 500 percent. Fewer seams not only create a more open and spacious look, but allow much more personality of the oak flooring to shine through, giving every hardwood floor more character and beauty. A Carlisle oak hardwood floor is not just a floor – it’s an enduring architectural element that will transform your room with beauty and elegance.

A Carlisle oak hardwood floor, harvested from sustainable forests.

At Carlisle Wide Plank Floors, we have been producing oak hardwood floor products of the highest quality since 1966. Our craftsmen are some of the most knowledgeable people in the industry and create each floor by hand, one board at a time. The quality of our hardwood is unmatched – where other flooring mills produce 5,000 square feet of boards per hour, we produce only 360 square feet, which allows us to closely scrutinize every board to make sure it meets our exacting standards.

Strongly committed to environmental sustainability, we contract only with small growers who share our dedication to sustainable forests. We harvest only the most mature trees for our oak floors, those that must be removed from the forest to enable younger trees to thrive. These mature hardwood trees are taller and have a wider circumference, allowing us to maximize the dimensions of our boards.

Select Red or White Oak and new or antique floors.

When you choose an oak hardwood floor from Carlisle, you can select a new floor in Red or White Oak, or reclaimed wood flooring in rustic oak. Our Red Oak floors are fashioned from trees grown in the colder Northeastern climate, where oak trees grow more slowly, producing a tighter grain that allows us to maximize the width and length of our boards. Our White Oak is a versatile hardwood with a variety of finishes that can be customized to any design scheme. Salvaged from old buildings along the Ohio River Valley and in western Pennsylvania, our oak antique wood floors feature a worn and weathered look in hues of gold to nutty brown for an exceptional rustic floor. Additionally, we offer superior engineered hardwood flooring with an oak hardwood finish.
